The National Gallery - Ned Rorem and Samuel Barber

The EDCWashington will perform the Ned Rorem trio The End of Summer. During this concert, the Barber Quartet, in which you will hear the famous Adagio, will be performed by a chamber group we are coaching as part of the AYPO Chamber program and then the AYPO will perform the Adagio again in a chamber orchestra setting. This is sure to be an interesting concert. Both Barber and Rorem knew each other and are important American composers.

The Ensemble da Camera of Washington (Claire Eichhorn, clarinet; Ricardo Cyncynates, violin; Anna Balakerskaia, piano) will perform the second of their concerts as a resident chamber group of the AYPO joined with guest artist Abigail Kreuzer, Assistant Principal Viola of the National Symphony Orchestra and AYPO Chamber Artist students Juliana Layendecker, violin and Allison Park, cello.
The students will perform in the Brahms, Clarinet Quintet alongside the EDCWashington. Cyncynates will play the Brahms, Violin Sonata No. 1 and the trio will play the charming Dubois, Trio for cl, vl and piano.

The Ensemble da Camera of Washington will perform its 3rd Annual Fundraiser for LLS.
This year, the program is more exciting than ever, and will be followed by a reception.
Guest artists Lisa Emenheiser (piano) and David Hardy, Principal Cello of the National Symphony Orchestra, will join Ricardo Cyncynates, Assistant Concertmaster of the National Symphony Orchestra and clarinetist Claire Eichhorn
The famous Brahms Clarinet Trio, Op. 114, the Hindemith Quartet and an exciting new quartet written for the EDCWashington by local composer Tudor Dominik Maican, his second work written for the EDCWashington, will be on the program as well. Maican's very successful Galilean Moons was premiered at the last LLS fundraiser in 2015.
