The EDCWashington is in-residence at the AYPO
Claire Eichhorn helped develop the existing format of the Chamber Ensemble Program at the American Youth Philharmonic Orchestras. Now in its 6th year, the program is highly successful and has received major support from the NEA for three consecutive years. Students receive coaching from the acclaimed Ensemble da Camera of Washington and have public master classes throughout the year. Performance opportunities are offered throughout the year.
It was an honor that the AYPO presented the Harmonia Quartet at the State Dinner for Prime Minister Trudeaux on March 10. The group, part of the Chamber Music Program at the AYPO and coached by the EDCWashington, is compirsed of an oboe - Pablo O'Connel, violin - Juliana Layendecker, viola - Jenny Reid and cello - Allison Park.
